I actually have begun using my whammy quite a bit. Well, that's not exactly true since I don't have one. (Wait, let me explain

) My guitar actually is equipped with one but the bloke I bought it from had lost it.

So I basically have the trem without the bar. Anyway, I found a weird way of making a vibrato with the trem. I sort of have my hand on top of the trem, like I'm palm muting it, and I do a vibrato with that. It's not as gargling as it is with a whammy but it's more distinct than it is when using the fretting hand. I've never heard of anyone using this technique, so I'm rather proud of it.

It's a bit harder on a floyd than a regular one, actually, since it's built a little different, but it can be done.
Also, I'm not quite sure whether I'll end up using the cube for recording. I'm not sure but I seem to remember that it had no output jack (on account of it being so small, no doubt) . I could be wrong, though. I'm thinking of buying it just to improve my practicing possibilities. My computer chair isn't the most comfortable place to play in.

And there's the fact that it's fun as hell to fool around with.
The thing that's weird, btw, is that now I'm actually damn glad I didn't end up getting the Satriani model. Sure enough, it was a better guitar, but it was over twice the price, second hand. Well over three times the price new. So it's basically to be expected. I still feel this is more guitar for the money I'm about to spend. And then I just like it more, in a weird way, even though it's not as good. I just feel it's more suitable for me.
I might be a bit over-excited about this, but what the hey. It's only so often you come by a guitar that you really, truly like.
