Smug, smug, and more smugness!
It’s sad and pathetic but we all do it and we feel good about it so there! I was in Tesco on Friday and I had made an effort to scrub up a bit because I was meeting peeps at the bank. I was wandering with a basket and passed a girl who used to be in the same year as me. She was the only other person with the same name as me so it was easy to remember. However, I couldn’t help feeling utterly smug because she was rough as a badger’s arse and was still as common as muck! I love it. She was hanging around the frozen sausages with one hand on the buggy of an ugly child cursing a guy for dropping a dummy. She looked at me and must have recognised me. Great! I know I shouldn't gloat but we've all been on the other side when we've looked like we've been in a fight and not washed for a month and you meet an ex boyfriend or something! Shit. so, I am basking in the glory of my snottyness, probably until the next visit to Tesco when she punches me in my smug face. Hmmm
