Web design costs

Post by Kajun »

Just need the gauge the field:

As an experienced if not expert web designer who places a critical importance on maximum accessibility and usability taking on a project in an academic environment, to style, design, and build a website consisting of 20-30 pages (mostly static) in standards compliant CSS/XHTML with an advanced coolie-driven stylesheet switcher (already developed, so is charged at fixed price) and taking into account corporate image considerations... with an estimated project duration of 18 days...

What would you charge per day? (7 hours)

Project duration sounds too long but reflects approximations given by another member of staff in the same institution, so.. @ £210 a day, that ain't shabby.

£210 a day sounds pretty reasonable to me mate.

I'm not a web designer, but I recently charged £35/ph for some consultancy work.
