Finch Grey Matter

'tis OK. Nothing special really - seems to follow the current trend of "shouty" bands which doesn't really do anything for me. The guitar riff at the start is nice though.

Reel Big Fish Beer

Not a big fan of this - I really can't get excited about anything that is even remotely ska. 'tis from a fantastically funny film though ;)

The Hives Die, Alright!

I really like "Hate to Say I Told You So" but the two singles I've heard since then (this and another that I can't remember the name of) haven't had the same hold on me. There's nothing really wrong with it - it just bores me a bit.

White Stripes Screwdriver

I love the album "White Blood Cells" but I hadn't heard any of the White Stripes other stuff. This is a good song, catchy enough, although I think that "White Blood Cells" has a lot more better tracks.

The Hives - Die, All Right.

:| Sounds interesting, in a moshpit kind of way. Can't really imagine listening to this anywhere else to be honest though :)

The White Stripes - Screw Driver

Haven't heard the end of this but it sounds a little unpolished and like a demo to me? :o Is this indicative of most White Stripes stuff?

Finch - Grey Matter

Not bad. Sounds like they're trying too hard to be Therapy? to be honest. Nothing really grabbed me but nothing really turned me off either. Is the rest of their stuff similar?

Reel Big Fish - Beer

:) Good fun! Nice and funky as a space filler on my playlist ... reminded me of the Presidents of the USA actually!

The White Stripes - Screw Driver

As kajun mentioned - not really a fan of their sound. Or the vocalist. Sorry :p.

Reel Big Fish - Beer

Don't really like ska much either, but then I also realized it doesn't actively annoy me either, so yep - could leave this on in the background or something :D.

Not got the other two yet, will edit this post when I do

The Hives - Die, All Right.

Kaj, I don't really think that Screw Driver is indicative of the rest of the White Stripe stuff. The album White Blood Cells is far cleaner sounding - and is superb in my opinion.

As for the Reel Big Fish song, if anyone's interested it's the Beers theme song in BASEketball - a silly, but funny, film from the creators of South Park.

Just a note, it's Jalapeno's turn next - I'll try and get in touch with him to post his selection. If I can't then it's Kajun after him.

Screwdriver is an early White Stripes song, the quality of their new albums is a lot better. I chose this song because it has an amazing blues riff thing going on. and it looked cool at reading :p

Hanohtep: I've already contacted him, but suspect he's forgotten. Time for another reminder methinks..

I'll give them another go, I promise.

It didn't help that I was being harrased by someone to listen to some other tunes that I had been sent
