Is it possible to have the Spell checker Mod installed on Ixyl

My spelling is damn near perfect anyway, so I don't need it

And it'd stop me ripping the piss out of MP when she asks people to take a not in their dairy again, so I'm definitely against it

Well we already know you suck at the spelling and we *usually* know what you're talking about but if you really want a spell checker then I have no objections.

Punky I'm used to having the piss taken out of me, but I do know several other's that would join if nobody would take the piss out of their spelling

You've got 3, MP - the ref. starter doesn't count! Anyway, I support this referendum. Discussion will follow - the link to the thread disussing the spell check mod is here, for reference; I'll be looking into the pros and cons (if any) and will notify you here.

TBH, I can't see any cons of the spellchecker. For those that want to use it then they just click a button - for those that don't want to use it then just click submit instead. It's that simple.

Although MP, there is a conflict in your views. You want to keep Quick Reply but the spell checker only works on the actual reply screen.

No, the cons will be on the reliability of the code and the difficulty of implementation - if the thing doesn't work, then that's something of a con.

There used to be a style for phpBB which had a spell checker "built in", which used an online dictionary. I believe that they've start charging though...

Well I thought I would give it a try on Spamstrels and it was the easiest mod so far that I have implemented. So far there hasn't been any conflicts, and the mod comes with a free dictionary, and it also learns new words.
