Bigpops - you can use the Midi tracks as backing :)

I know. But those drums are so pififul, they might aswell not be there.
I've had no luck with finding a soundfont either :( Maybe it's about time I tried fruity loops or something.

I've recorded something tonight anyway. I'll upload it tomorrow, if I still like it.

Just an update, I've got it recorded and mixed now for everything except bass and the solo - the solo is proving a lot harder than I hoped it would...

[edit]

Now got the bass but this solo is completely kicking my arse - I just don't think I can get my fingers to physically do it fast enough or with the degree of control needed. :( Bugger.

I still havnt had a chance but will ..try soon...hopefully tommorow.

I like the main riff od this song...but the ought of tune sounding bit over the top really grates me.. :x ....I dont know why......I might try and make it sound in tune..but then I wouldnt be playing it right.

Here my crack at it.

I did this last night, and i still like it, so here it is:

Prepare to play Weezer - Metal Edition

I played the main riff through properly a couple of times. Then i 'metaled' it up a little; just for kicks.

Here's a taste of mine in its unfinished state (lacking solo and other polish) it's around 4MB as it lasts 3 mins.

Weezer a la IceBus

Tell me what you think :)

Very good that mate.

Only the drums let it down, but that's not your fault.

You can be proud of this one.

Really very good Peter....Although I hate the song ...yours sounds very good so far and if thats unfinished the finished version should be very good.

I think you have a very nice rythmn guitar sound on this one for the main riff.

Anyhow here,s my mettaled up version...I thought I only played the riff a couple of times but on listening I must have got carried away ..I also changed the doodle at the beggining a bit to make it sound more in tune (well to me )

my attempt

Very good you too, although I do I don't know what Rivers Cuomo would think lol. On a side note, using webspace called Pinkertons is very apt, as this song is from "Pinkerton" :)

I was unable to connect to the internet @ home for the weekend. It seems external modems aren't particularly fond of being dropped, as it were.

Not too good work on my part. I wasn't too keen on the song and didn't quite find it in me to practice this a whole lot. Sorry Peter. :bg:

Yeah, I know the timing sucked in a few places. Has to do with the fact that I could barely hear the bass line while I was playing due to wacky audio settings. When I'd pick it up I'd find I was way off.
